Lucky to Have Only First Degree Burn
Burn injuries can range from a slight discomfort to excruciating pain. A person can be burned from many things such as heat, chemical, electricity, or friction. When I was a child I picked up a hot firework. The result was a slight burn. Fortunately the burn didn’t become infected. More than likely it was a first degree burn. Fortunately it healed rather quickly and never became infected. Not everyone who is burned by fireworks is so lucky. Each year fireworks burn, and even kill people. This is an unfortunate situation and great caution should be taken when enjoying fireworks. As we’ve seen on many occasions, a little fun can quickly become a tragic situation without proper caution.
