If you did this quickly call your agent and check through your home insurance policy. Subtract the cost of your land and buy coverage only for your home and its contents. Your premium will be more affordable and you’ll still have adequate coverage if you do this right. Don’t ever forget that insuring the land your home is standing on is real waste of money because it does you no good whatsoever.
