The Direct Vent Gas Fireplace Is Often Found In Apartments
Any sufficiently updated apartment complex these days can be found with a fireplace installed. Many of these use chimney systems but the latest and less costly (for upgrades especially) concept is the Direct Vent Gas Fireplace which installs in a wall and vents directly behind the unit using a vent and fan system built into the unit. The heat is blown out to the room/home/apartment while the toxic fumes are vented directly. With the gas/electric fireplace unit there is little if any toxic fumes involved in the first place, especially if they are using propane as the fuel/gas source. There are many different models available.
