A Eulogy for a Small Town Doctor
It seemed as if Dr. Joe was always available when you needed him. He would still make house calls just to check on how well you were recovering. He also had an entire list of senior citizens that he visited regularly just to keep an eye on. In our small rural town, the family doctor was one of the most important people in the entire community. Our Dr. Joe lived up to his responsibility. At his funeral, the whole town turned out. The eulogy celebrated a life well lived in service to others. Doc would have been pleased to see so many of his friends and patients checking in on him.
